Z-Axis Ideas

The z-axis will likely be the last functioning component to my CNC router. There are two basic parts to this axis. The linear slide for the axis and the spindle motor that mounts on this axis which performs the actual cutting. My overall thought is simplicity. With that said, this is an image of a z-axis linear stage I found on the web. I will likely model mine after this.
