To help raise some more money for the space, I was intending to offer some classes in woodworking, starting with joinery. I'm an experience, mostly self-taught amateur, but I've made a few things, and would be happy to share what I know to help others make wise choices when making wood projects where they want a clean, finished look, and a sturdy structure. I'd like to hear from those who might be interested in a joinery class, and we can work out a good time in the next month or two. Feedback from potential students would be used to set a syllabus for a two-hour class, with the potential for some hands-on work.

i concur with swink, i've done a bit, but learnign more is always fun. keep in mind that most of our class participants are not members, and don't read on here, so minimal feedback can still fill a class.

Hey I made this stuff with my Dado set in my workshop using the surplus plyboard in the H/F lumber, the jig took a full afternoon and the box took about 5 hours, but this time will probably cut in half for future boxes.

File comment: Made this out of that light colored plyboard stacked in the H/F lumber supply.

My original plan was sometime mid to late June, on a Tuesday evening or possibly a weekend late afternoon. Preferences anyone?

I'm still planning to put this class together, in fact I spent most of tonight gathering materials for a handout. Next week (first week of July) I plan to be at the Open Hack on Wednesday and I'll try to corner someone about finding an appropriate date in July.
