you guys are busy! i've learnt i need to set modest goals first, as i lack the time and skills.
ive been working on: -cardboard cat bed/lounger (done!) -computer temperature controlled recirculating hot water bath (for food) -"mural" blending the lady liberty and the chinese goddess of mercy -wooden figurines/carvings of cute-sy creatures.
what i want to build/make if i have the space/time/skills: -steam box, for bending wood. -personal solder station (with fume extractor, magnifying lamp, and a modified set of helping hands) -photography lightbox -herb greenhouse, with computer controlled light and humidity, with a watering system -some website to document all of this, and chart my knowledge areas and progress

Nick, you're building a Sous Vide machine? That's awesome! My projects right now, are building a grain mill stand for my brewing using an old electric lawn mower motor that I found in our shed when we moved in. Also trying to get supplies together to finish our basement.

I have a project in the background to interface a PS2 Guitar Hero controller to an arduino, possibly with a pocket piano shield, to produce something vaguely resembling music.
My foreground task right now is learning Objective-C programming and giving a stab at I-Phone app develoment.

I'm working on the big kahuna remodeling project. I did the bathroom thing about 6 years ago. I'm doing the kitchen now! Actually, I'm almost finished. Doors and drawers are what is left. I have plenty of woodworking projects left. Kitchen table. New entertainment center. Etc. etc. etc. etc. First, I need to manufacture some sort of time machine so I can get some time to do all of this stuff. Can an arduino do that? Anybody working on this?

I'm going to assume that the joke half is the second part, y'know, making a time machine. Although -- who was it that's been working on the model H. G. Wells time machine? Was (is) it Blair?

Yup, Blair's been working on the time machine some time now. Long-term project (he keeps getting diverted by agonizer booths, transporters and Martian cameras).

I am the son of a... shop teacher. I do a fair chunk of woodworking and meatball carpentry. Recently I've started welding. I do a little electronics repair/hacking/bending. I'm kind of a hack of all trades.
Installed a deck and patio door off the kitchen. Bathroom remodel including a laundry shoot install. Built a (80%) soundproof studio in the basement for the band and I to practice and record. I've been tinkering with my wife's old sturmey-archer three speed hub. Needs parts. Circuit bending. I have 30 furby's waiting for a freaky installation project. Front steps to my house. I just completed my first welding project. A log rack made from my old front stair railing. Pinewood derby track.
I am planning on a yard shed once the EPA pulls all the arsenic from my soil. I have a motorcycle paint job to do before I get too distracted by riding it. There are always kinetic sculpture ideas in my head. Rolling ball sculptures and whatnot.
