Free hardware from me!

Postby adamwolf » Thu Feb 03, 2011 1:34 pm

Hey folks,

Wayne and Layne is giving away free kits later this month in exchange for your time building it and playing with it a bit, and telling us your thoughts and maybe answering a survey or two. The expected time requirement is less than 1 hour to construct, and 30 minutes to play with it.

There's a short application form. Don't feel intimidated by the questions, we're looking to get a wide spread of people. It should only take a few minutes to answer the questions.

We'd like to send out the hardware in just a few weeks, so don't delay! Feel free to post this to our blog, or tell people on Wednesdays--I have class now every Wednesday from 6 PM to 9:45, so I won't be there until May...

Would you accept candidates who have non-game uses in mind?
See my thoughts on the CNC and Arduino Thread.

Thanks for putting this out there.

This is actually for a new kit, something none of you have seen yet!

If you're just wanting to do video output from an Arduino, you can do it with two resistors and the tvout library... the difficult part is interfacing that at the same time as two different wii controllers.

interfacing with wii controllers is easy. you hang on, and remember the strap.

If you haven't filled out the "free beta hardware" form, and are in tcmaker/local to minneapolis, do it soon! We weigh more for local applicants to save on shipping...
