Welcome to the Artifactory!
While most of the Shops in TC Maker have a clear and limited scope of craft, the Artifactory is the exact opposite. It is the catch-all for crafts that are not covered by the other shops. Many disciplines that do not really have a home elsewhere in the building have found their place in the Artifactory.
In the first room, you will find mostly solid crafts, like stained glass, jewelry making, framing and mat cutting. The star of the second room focusing on graphic arts is a screen printing setup that can handle four-color prints and has the equipment for large production prints. Additionally, there are paints, crayons, markers, colored pencils, a variety of other drawing tools, and a drafting table. The third room is the Soft Room, for fabric and leather work. Two large tables inhabit the center of the room, providing a place for arranging and cutting big patterns. Several sewing machines, including an industrial Singer, are available for a variety of projects. There is also a selection of leatherworking tools for both decoration and manufacturing leather projects.
In addition to the tools, the Artifactory is a space to meet with a group. With large tables in both the first and third rooms, there is space for a number of people to get together, whether it’s for a cosplay sewing circle, a miniature kitbashing and painting get-together, or just needing a quiet place to meet.
On Tuesday evenings, fiber arts moves up to the lounge for knitting and crocheting. We have a selection of yarn and needles. Hang out with us and make some socks, or an amigurumi, or whatever strikes your fancy.
