T-shirts are always good, but as this is a Maker event, I'd say the stenciling (silkscreening, applique, etc.) should be done right there in the booth, so the kid (customer) gets to walk away with something s/he has made with her/his own hands. Price could be cost of materials; it'd be advertising for us, essentially.

I got the impression that he meant, at the very least we should just show up wearing t-shirts advertising tcmaker.

Hi Folks,

This is Nick from Make: television. I'm organizing this event with the Science Museum. I was just chatting with Paul who told me some more about this project and some of the directions you're heading, it all sounds great.

Make: Day should be a blast and I think you all would feel very at home among the other Makers who'll be present. Unfortunately we have a limited capacity of tables and we're presently at capacity. However, you all have some awesome ideas and I really want to try to make space for you.

At the very least you are all invited to come check out the event, hand out flyers, put up posters and talk to folks about TC Maker.

I wish we had the space to "swing the doors open" to everyone who wants to participate, but we have a limited amount of space. Of course, if anyone backs out I'll let you guys know.

Thanks,

Nick

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, but I figured people could run with it however they want.
Make it happen.

Well I like the sound of this so far. What might he be able to do with this graphic?

Nick:

is there a need for volunteers as greeters, guides, or setup/tear down that we could serve as?

it would be kind of difficult if we were to make the shirts ourselves. more colors=greater probability of serious much-ups with silk-screening.

who is that though? should we be local? paul bunyon? richard drew? some other local inventor?

if we stencil and spray paint it's not too hard to include index points in the stencil, and we can get oodles of colors.

another option fo rfull color is iron on prints, which aren't too expensive. probably cheaper than a few cans of spray paint and mylar.
