Status update:
It appears to be working for the following users:
- Anyone who was set-up with dokuwiki since today (use your existing forum username if different from the dokuwiki)
- Anyone who's gotten my attention prior to this post
For everyone else, just hand on a sec.

I need input form people before proceeding further.
Now all of the forum and wiki accounts are maintained through the forum. This means we have one system but it doesn't mean we have to put "everything in the same bucket."
Functionally I can differentiate between forum access and wiki access through the use of phpbb groups. Wiki admins are also a distinct group from forum admins. The same people
can be in both but it also helps sort things out
if we want to.The same goes for general wiki edit access. Do we want to strictly tie that to the forum (i.e. every registered and active forum member automatically has access to the wiki)? Or, do I continue with the separate group method so that we can separate the privileges if we need to.
If we continue with the separate groups, phpbb does have a request functionality where members can opt-in to join and get approved by group leaders (i.e. the wiki admins) Another option is to establish an "open enrollment" period where interested users could join up for the next week, and then restrict it to group leader approval. I kinda prefer this method to actually tying the two privileges together, I like configurability. Whatever option we go with I'll be providing more information to everyone on how to actually administer all of this later
So, for the time being, only the previously mentioned people should even have access to the wiki. Please weigh in with your opinions and ask any questions you have.
