I can no longer see pictures with the blog posts, on 2 different computers. Did something get borked? I looked at the control panel to see if there was something like a button that said "Riley click me to put the pictures back on the blog", but that budden, sadlly, does not yet exist.
<edit> In addition, I now can only see the first paragraph, or an excerpts worth, of any blog post, including the one I just finished, and ones that were available from before. If anyone has any tips, tricks, or suggestions, let me know, here or in a pm. Thanks!</edit>

I (we) had Orion enable the shorter blog posts so we could have more entries on a page, and that a link should be at the bottom of the article to the full article.
Just as an FYI..

I thought that it was showing 10 posts before, even tho some of them were long. It's showing 10 now, too, but they're all broken with no pictures. Sure, they take up less verticall space, but it's all brokey.
Also, wouldn't let me post a link to an external blog that warn't broked.

As our blog is borked (or at least different, for now) I finally set up an external blog.\ Here 'tis: http://rileyharrisonblog.blogspot.com/I want to post my stuff both here and there, the stuff that's maker related (which will be all of it) It's not a wordpress site, but I might grab one there as well, if it makes the process simpler. I"m wondering, is it possible to to link from a blog post here to my blog, and is it acceptable. Let me know. cheers!\ Brad, once again, thanks so much for bringing in that camera what a huuuuge difference it makes. And, I'm really getting to like ubuntu.

The problem with editing index.php in the fighter template is that index.php is used to generate both the main page and individual posts pages.
Line 57 of index.php was changed to only display the excerpt of the post instead of the full content.
I think a more appropriate option would be to leave the php code as it used to be and edit the posts to use the "Insert More tag" button. This would allow the posters to set what appears 'above the fold' on the main page and what would only appear on the individual pages.
Finally, the total number of posts that appear on the front page is controlled in the admin panel under Settings->Reading.
No php editing necessarry.

So from what you stated, and I am restating it so I am positive, this was a training issue, not a setting on the blog configuration?
So I think we need a blog posting guide or tutorial. Nothing fancy, just a here is what to put where, insert pics, etc.
Do we have anything yet? If not, I could do a basic one, if I could find a couple folks to "edit" it once I have done the first rough.

My understanding is that someone horked up the code, and once it's corrected it is a training issues to start using the "more" feature, which has always been an option, but an unused one. I think we need to put the code back first and then users can update their posts. So who changed it, and / or who has the access to change it back? Skyler, is this something you can change back? If the following folks can edit their posts the front page will be up and running with the new format; Me, Riley, John, and Michael. I believe that will cover the 10 current posts at least, so the site doesn't look so goofy. Pete
