so 1000 of these kits are being given away, it's not my forte, but i suspect these might be useful for doing some door control or CNC machines, or other things.... is it worth putting together a team or two from the group to see what can be managed?

We have a couple working roombas in the parts area. Anyone want to have a talk about entering for one of these boards, use the usb stacks to interface the microsoft kinect with the opensource drivers. A system that creates a somewhat 3d map of the room using it to follow a smart path vacuuming more efficiently.

For variable values of "working," anyway. I borrowed one to poke at for a bit and try to install an Arduino, but I think the battery pack is shot. I haven't tried the other one yet.

I would love to give this a try, if someone has the hardware.

If I could translate video+depth of me stomping on buttons into OSC messages, then I wouldn't need to finish the electronics on my pedal board.
