i'm not sure we have the space.... the ignite mpls i made it to was thousands of folks most of whom were interested in networking more than the presentations.

i would like to get cabaret going again though.

Fair enough. But couldn't we limit attendees via eventbright to a certain #? Also, it would get new faces into the space.

How 'bout, rather than hosting Ignite, we get someone to do a presentation AT Ignite about TCMaker & the Maker movement in general? Please don't suggest that I make it happen, because there are far more photogenic and charismatic members, in the group, than I.

if there's a local ignite, someone tell me how to present, and i'll do that.

i'm not opposed to us hosting, but we'll need to find a BIG projection screen, get the shop spotless, and figure out how many bodies we can hold in the space with our one bitty bathroom.

If we were to sponsor this, we would need a bigger Venue.

Depending on estimates, we can talk to school districts or City Community rooms ( or the County, or State schools) about space.

But as stated prior here, I think first we should just present ourselves, and maybe a topic at the existing group.

But having said that, we have to decide soon, as larger venues will need time to set up. (and take a much larger group to be involved, which is why we should look at just waiting another year)

also, liquor license?

liquor lic would probably be covered by venue or catering company dispensing booze. who is interested in takign point on this, and finding out if there will be a local one, how er get a presentation spot, and if not what we need to know.

n.b. this is around the time of minne-maker faire which if we didn't hold at us could be a co-promoted event, or event at the faire in the evening.
