I just had a terrible thought; has anyone actually tested to make sure one of the makerbot's nozzle heater resistors hasn't failed open? It worked for a while right?

And I remember measuring a 12-volt drop across one of the resistors, which seems kind of extreme in hindsight...

They're powered by 12v AFAIK.
I assume they're wired in parallel, so 12v is exactly what I'd expect to measure across them, open or not.
