Steve and I are updating the Wiki on the Prototyper project
Check it out, open to any and all advice on how to track things.

Has it been determined that inline images are bad, or is our Wiki hosting not conducive to images? I'm thinking documenting what and where is going to be tricky if you have to click elsewhere to see what's being discussed. Am I missing something? Is there an alternative inline option I'm missing?

I think this is a server hosted on DSL or a Cable modem, so it may be bad.... Flickr is your friend, or ?

I have added some safety-related suggestions for the machine, as well as a checklist for powering it up, on the wiki page. I don't know if Flickr allows you to embed an image in another site. Photobucket does. I could also provide some image hosting space, though it too would be on a (mostly stable) DSL-hosted server.

Great stuff!!! Thanks for the wiki additions! I've enabled image uploading now on the wiki (see the toolbox links on the left side). Let us know if you have any trouble.

I believe our hosting is still with hostgator so images should not be a problem.

It's just that image uploading wasn't enabled. When the wiki first started we were getting a lot of spam so permissions were scaled way back. If you guys find other wiki functionality that's missing or you'd like to add, let us know.

Excellent, I'll likely still track the build on the cnczone.com forum too, to get us some external exposure, but this will make documenting everything much nicer. Thanks.

BTW if you are interested in big crazy machines, and who isn't?

I know Booka was very interested in a 5 axis system, this guy built a an enormous and very cool one in his driveway. It's kind of a long thread, but near the end there are videos of it running. My favorite is the picture of the builder standing INSIDE the router.
