I've got a Saturday where I'm completely at loose ends and decided to get back to my geek roots. Anyone know of a local source for Arduino boards?

I have a rare Diecimila that I'll sell you for $50, ;).

Ah, well. I shall order one today after I get back from the bike swap at the velodrome. Thanks for the enlightenment.

(And is it just me or does Minneapolis need a Frys?)

If you missed it, don't sweat it. It was kind of a bust.

Thinking about getting myself a table next year, though -- the missus would be happy if I got rid of a bunch of bike stuff.

Agreed. I actually was thinking about doing this myself- and kind of doing things a la the Lady Ada model (I know of others who've done this as well).

I have ideas for a few projects I'd like to make, and I think others would like to see too- an Arduino that fits in the same footprint as a 28-pin dip IC (I've seen them on the web but those are kinda hokey- lots of wires soldered to pins and components glued on top. I can do better), a physical sensor (accelerometer/gyro combo) shield for Ardunio, a SIP-header mini-board for driving EL wire/EL backlights on LCDs, and other stuff.

I'd LOVE to start selling that through this group and put the money directly into the group, after I recoup the expenses (some of them anyway).

I embrace, yet simultaneously dread, the prospect of a Fry's in the Twin Cities.
