Agreed. I actually was thinking about doing this myself- and kind of doing things a la the Lady Ada model (I know of others who've done this as well).
I have ideas for a few projects I'd like to make, and I think others would like to see too- an Arduino that fits in the same footprint as a 28-pin dip IC (I've seen them on the web but those are kinda hokey- lots of wires soldered to pins and components glued on top. I can do better), a physical sensor (accelerometer/gyro combo) shield for Ardunio, a SIP-header mini-board for driving EL wire/EL backlights on LCDs, and other stuff.
I'd LOVE to start selling that through this group and put the money directly into the group, after I recoup the expenses (some of them anyway).
