What's up at the Factory?

Postby noise » Sat Jan 23, 2010 11:10 am

We had a great Hack-a-thon yesterday, our first full day at the factory.

A number of people stopped by throughout the day, including two new faces. We need to get up some signs (including an OPEN sign) so that is less intimidating for people.

A few of us sat in the classroom and hacked all day, very fun.

Jim and Nick worked on the giant operation game and Jim also built an elevated bed for his kid while he was there. It's so cool to see stuff actually being built.

There are two substantial group projects in play, the workbenches and the mural. Is anybody going to take advantage of the weekend and make some progress on those?
Make it happen.

Awesomeness! Thanks for the report! On the workbench building night a lot of us who've been with the group for months were visibly giddy to see stuff being built.

Due to freezing rain later today I don't know how many will venture out to the Hack Factory. I haven't actually been outside yet today but it looks kinda nasty. Maybe tomorrow I can get over there, we'll see.

If it ever stops raining I am going to go get 4 sheets of plywood for the mural.

Anyone going to be around Sunday?

I could make it a point to be around on Sunday if you need access.
