All,
Over the past several weeks I've started writing a member handbook for TC Maker. I've shared it already with a few members, but I would like more feedback and group involvement. The product is meant primarily as a hard copy, informal and fun brochure (several folded and nested 8.5 x 11 inch sheets).
In the realization that I've intended, this document would not be dozens of pages long or very detailed, but provide a basic introduction to TC Maker's origins, mission and vision, accomplishments, and general guidelines on member practices. It may be that the content is better suited as a newcomer's guide than member handbook, but that remains undetermined. If so, we'd develop a member handbook separately.
So far, I have written some content according to this Table of Contents:
- Credits
- Graphics
- Maker & Editor
- Content and Editing Assistance
- Publishing Tools
- Suggestions and Corrections
- Background
- Mission
- Vision
- Maker Movement
- TC Maker
- Maker Shops
- Location
- Practices
- Co-op Plan
- Philosophy
- Legal Stuff
- Organization
- Founder
- Board of Governors

If you have any suggestions on content, please reply to this post. If you would like closer involvement with this project, please send me a personal message (PM) via this bulletin board.
I would like this to be mostly an internal project until the material is published, meaning that I don't want to handle it like a wiki document. General ideas can be discussed in this thread, but I don't want detailed discussions with lots of people to drag down the development.
Also, I'd like to designate myself as lead editor.
Thanks everyone!
