Hi All,

I am a Minnesota local and here's the link to my first wooden automata project....Automata iPhone Dock. It cranks from portrait to landscape mode. Follow the link to see a video and complete details of the build process. Hope to get your feedback. ... nedock.htm

It was also featured on Gizmodo. Here's the link. ... horizontal

Fun little project, There is something deeply satisfying about a wooden hand crank for a modern piece of communication. Cheers

Wow...I saw that on a couple of blogs. Very cool, especially for a first-time project of that sort.

Have you considered attending one of our meetings? We'd love to have you as a member. We'll be getting together tomorrow night (Wednesday), 7-ish, at Common Roots Cafe, in Minneapolis, 26th and Lyndale. This is one of our informal meetings- just getting together to share ideas and show off a bit.
