Lets try to get these threads going again, There's always a lot of last minute twitter talk about who's going. It seemed to me like there was far better attendance when we planned ahead.

Yeah, we should've perhaps reminded folks about the meeting last night. There were three in attendance.

I've made it a point to only post meeting announcements for actual business meetings, or for events (build night, demo night, etc.).

Of course, anyone is welcome to post a get-together reminder on here whenever they please- it might be nice for people to see who all intends on a being at CR on the casual nights.

I don't believe this is scheduled to be a business meeting, as it is the first Wednesday of the month. I'll post an agenda for the business meeting to follow.

Edit: Also I checked to see if the back room was open, it would be nice to have a private area for our social gatherings once in a while so jtbarclay can bust out his weapon grade lasers or whatever, but alas it's already taken.

Didn't you say you have a mobile ham rig, that would be a fun thing to drag to a meeting sometime.

I will be coming to the meeting, if only for about an hour.

I will bring my Arduino-controlled breast pump. Fatherhood provides interesting project opportunities.

There's always the one in the car, but that's just a 2m/70cm rig. All the fun is on HF, and I haven't tried to go portable with that rig yet. I need to make a small mod to the antenna tuner to get it battery-powered. I might also need to make a cable to power the radio off the battery pack I have (one of those jumpstarter/tire inflator jobbies).

It might all get done by race day...

I hope it went well for those who made it. I got involved yesterday with work in my basement and also I had trouble with my computer. I didn't realize how late it was getting and missed my departure time.

We're making great progress on the basement; I might post some pictures on the forum later.

Thankfully I was able to solve the computer problem. Vista 64 was essentially stalling and non-responsive. After trying several things and almost up to the point of repairing Windows, I thought I'd try to remove my antivirus/firewall software, and also remove Windows Intellipoint software that was recently installed, but working. This fixed it! I reinstalled my AV/firewall software and things look good so far.
