Hey! Who can produce some TC Maker t-shirts before the Minnesota State Fair? If we can get some bright, unique t-shirts and carry some flyers, especially the wallet-sized cards, maybe we can promote the organization!

If nobody in our group has the means or time to print t-shirts before the state fair, there are several services, such as Rush Order Tees, that have an online t-shirt designer program. Here's one that I whipped up in a few minutes:
UPDATE: An order of 10 adult large tees from this service looks to be about $125.

This is fun! Now I'm thinking we should have a t-shirt design contest. We could award the winner five t-shirts or something. Hey, I might even donate the award if people want to do this. Here's another design:

so... while i like all of the designs individually, none of them actually are great visuals on what we (want) to *do*.

I really like this idea (state fair, shirts, etc) but we need to target our branding. i.e. the spoonapult shirts some of us have from the sci museum are great. they're a tc icon, but twisted, and have a good discussion point. (we made this!)

our logo is *really* solid, but for a walking billboard it's not a "oh, i get it" kinda thing.

I'm thinking say just the logo maybe on a shoulder or pocket, and an iconic representation of a project each of the folks has worked on. theo has shown us the technology to do one offs that are remarkably nice.

say the spoonapult team can get a reprint on the pr team shirt color with sleeve badges, jude could get bessie, noise could get one of his gizmos, etc etc.

we also need to look into if it's ok to flyer out there. I'll attemtp to do that this week.

imho we should be handing out business card sized items, they're easier for folks to put in a wallet than loose with every other quartersheet out there, and frankly if we do this we could go through a few thousand easily, which is at that point cheaper to print as business cards.
