Storefront Flyers, Wallet Cards! [AVAILABLE NOW]

Postby wammie » Thu Jun 18, 2009 10:56 pm

Fellow Makers,

Flyers and wallet cards are now available for promotion of Twin Cities Maker!

I've made a storefront flyer for Twin Cities Maker. Please post at appropriate locations for publicizing our organization. Also, of course, obtain permission from businesses as required and take a look at Metis' posts in this thread for tips on distributing the flyers.

Thanks everyone!

I tried that phone number, and it doesn't work. :(

I've offered my home phone number for it, although I'm thinking that may not be a good idea, since that phone isn't well monitored.

Is a phone number necessary? Perhaps the website information is enough...

Yes, I think a phone number is absolutely necessary. As long as there's an answering machine on the line with mention of Twin Cities Maker, that should be fine. Are we OK then with this flyer and a corrected phone number?

... another question: Does anyone who has experience with mass postings know if there is a common size restriction on such materials? I guess we should probably have business card sized versions as well, 3x5 or whatever.

OK, I was being silly up there. Because, y'know, we don't have a real address yet, let alone a dedicated land line.

Re: Storefront Flyer! [VERSION 2]

Postby wammie » Fri Jun 19, 2009 10:37 am

Oh! I was going to put those easy-tear strips at the bottom!

Here is version 2 of the flyer with the strips. I was able to fit 17 strips on the page.

This image requires printing outside of usual margin settings. My printer is able to do this, but others might have to manually set their margins. Fedex Kinko's or other print shops can as well, if people wanting to print this don't have a capable printer.

One more thing.
"Cooperative Community Space" is misleading, at least until we have a space.

Hmmm. I gave that some thought as well. The statement is that we're "creating a space." Also, we can think of our "space" as including cyberspace as well, so I don't consider it entirely misleading.

In relation to this, I suggest we post a status message on our blog/forum with information on space attainment and organizational progress.
