Hack Pittsburgh which started the same time we did has the following fees:

Membership dues are due on the 1st of each month. There is grace period of 7 days to maintain membership in good standing. Total dues for each month amount to $45, $30 of which can be paid by volunteering at a rate of $10/hour. This gives members the option to donate time instead of money and make membership more affordable, if desired. If you have not donated 3 hours of time during the previous month, adjust your dues accordingly and use the “Donate” button.
