Need a thermal fax, one that prints to a roll of special paper or one that uses a roll of thermal transfer ink (rather than toner) to transfer to plain paper. I've checked out 4 thrift stores and 1 Ax Man and no luck. Anyone!? I need it by the end of this weekend (April 19). I will drive to wherever it is, and pay almost any price.

Sorry, man- that is one piece of salvage I do not have.

I was corporate for 12 years, and no department I was in (or near) used a thermal fax, let alone discarded one. Sorry.

Well I have finally tracked one down via craigslist. Too late for my deadline but at least I will be able to complete the project. Thanks for your help everyone.

No kidding, I'm getting quite curious as to the specs on what you're planning on doing with it.

Thanks for the interest, but I am going to wait until the preliminary results are in. I still need to gather a few more pieces before I can do tests to see if what I have in mind is even feasible. I don't mean to be a tease, but the project is still half baked. Think souffle, don't want it out of the oven too early.
