So...what are you working on?

My husband (gergistheword) and I just finished repainting our 1993 Honda Nighthawk.
Now the bike is flat black instead of lipstick red.

We attended "Maple Syrup Madness" at the Wargo Nature Center in in Lino Lakes, and learned how to make maple syrup.
I'm really excited to tap our maple tree next year.
I'd like to keep it old school and carve the spile from an elderberry stem.

Hey Reetsyburger I think I met you at a Circuit bending convention a few years back, that is if somebody hasn't stolen your online handle.

paulsobczak, Theo - I have attended a couple of Bent Fests in Minneapolis, and I was at the TCMakers meetup on March 11.

I had to leave the March meeting early to grab a last supper at Fugaise before it closed.

Hmmm.... haven't worked on anything much for years, but looking forward to spending time on projects this spring. I was laid off from my job and will likely have some time between jobs.

One thing that I'm VERY interested in is mechanical music! I don't know how many people like carousel and band organ music, but I just love it!

I've spent many, many hours delving into mechanical music simulations on my computer using midi files. Click here to listen to one of my simulations:

Wouldn't it be grand if Twin Cities Maker could make some sort of midi-based musical machine??? I'd want to build one for myself, of course, but if the group built a classy machine it would be something to attract crowds at events!!!

If we put all our skills together, I'm sure we could come up with something fantastic to show!

That would be fun. I'm personally enamored with the various mechanical sequencers that I've seen around, see the archives on my blog for a couple examples.
