Our Minne-Maker Faire is arguably our signature event. It is a direct reflection of our status as an organization and a our public face.

While I am going to coordinate this year's Faire, I do not expect to do this all by myself. Because I am not TC Maker and I don't want to impose my shape on the event (and only secondarily because it is a lot of work).

This thread is for you to express interest in helping.

What are the biggest hurdles that you see always needing a hand with?

I don't see hurdles so much as just the normal course of business.

Publicity: press releases, signs, ads?, and follow up
Participant outreach and support:
Community outreach and support:

Food:
Entertainment/Events:
Site Planning:
Facility Prep:
Security:

All of the above and bits and pieces of more.
We are looking at 20 or so outside of the group participants and a couple of thousand (we hope) attendees. There is just a bunch of stuff that needs to happen.

I'm again interested in making in-house signs and promotional materials. I kinow Mr. Odegard would be interested in this too, but perhaps I can work with him to share the things I've done in the past and the aesthetic value I've tried to establish. I'd really like to learn some things from Mr. Odegard too. Hopefully he's not too tasked out otherwise and can help with this.
