All,
Twin Cities Maker is excited to be participating in this year's Seward Art Crawl as part of the
Seward Arts Festival and Franklin Frolic. The theme for the festival is
Fire and Ice.
Our participation will include an open house for the preview and main art crawl events. The preview will be from 5-7 PM on Friday, December 2, and the main art crawl will be from 12-5 PM on Saturday, December 3.
We have provided the Seward Neighborhood Group the following text for the event brochure and our participatory art offerings:
Quote:
Twin Cities Maker shows a flame-throwing snowman, snowball-hurling Foshaybuchet, ice candle making, interactive art, and more! Hack Factory, 3119 E. 26th Street.
The flame-throwing snowman will be a mechanical model and not made of snow, assuring that if we do not have any snow cover that we'll have a display. Likewise, we aim to produce fake snowballs for the Foshaybuchet in case there is no snow.
Karin F.,
Riley H., myself, and a few others have committed to helping with this event, but we'd like to know who else can help with getting the space ready, facilitating craft activities, cleanup, promotion, and other related tasks.
Please post below if you would like to participate in this event and how you can contribute, or if you have any suggestions. Note that we do not have to limit ourselves to providing only the stated art showings, so if we have the resources and time to show more, we can.
Let's get crawling!
