Hello-
I'm new to these forums. I work in a lab at the University of MN and one of the professors I work with has recently retired. I was put in charge of finding a new home for a lot of old electronics and research equipment and parts that were left over from his neuroscience research lab. Being a maker myself, I naturally want to donate these things to a good home where people will appreciate and enjoy these things as much as I do. (And... my basement is already full...)
If olks at the HackFactory are interested, here are some of the things we'd like to donate (see attached photos): -Lots of new old stock electronics components, circuit board making materials, and spools of wires -Old Hewlet Packard oscilliscopes, rack mount signal generators and other parts -Old computers (e.g. Kaypro, Sparc and sun systems)
There's a lot of stuff, so I think the best thing to do is to set up a time for someone from the Hack Factory to come by and see what you'd like to take. Or, if you don't want any of it maybe you could recommend someone who might. Feel free to email me or call me at 612 598 1296 to set up a time to do so.
Also, we need to vacate the space by the end of this week, so the sooner we can set up a time for a pickup, the better.

You should poke McSteve here on the forum, he's the electronics department head. I'd sure like to come take a look, but timing might be an issue (we are short-staffed @ work for the remainder of the week).
