I should have been more clear, the nameplate amperage was definitely around 26A at 240. Rules for large motors are a little odd though, so the other important numbers I forgot to look at are MCA and MOCP. MCA will define the wire size needed, and MOCP defines the required fuse or circuit breaker size. If it doesn't list MCA and MOCP, I should be able to calculate them from the tables in the NEC.

So to reuse the headline, there was another auction today, The hoped for acquisitions were more pallet racking, a mobile welding table, a metal bender, and perhaps some air tools.

We got priced out of the Pallet Racking, and Metal Bender, but got one nice and one questionable welding table and a few air tools. Luno and I will be heading to Mankato next Thursday to pick them up.

Make sure you've got the right size heater from the NEMA table in the starter. If it was running on 208 and you need to run it on 240 or vice versa they may need to be changed. If it was running on 480 and you need to run it on 208 or 240, they definitely need to be changed.

I've moved discussion of the compressor to its own thread, over here.

The stuff is in, the air tools are slightly different, and a few need quick connects, and my collection of them is missing....

Also Jeff joins me in asking you to not run the sanders / grinders on his compressor. They draw too much air and will over work it!
