Been working on a plans for a welding bench for TCM. The design is based on ones I have used in the past.
Dimensions: 36 inches wide (easy to work on something in the middle from both sides.) 60-72 inches long 30 inches tall 2 wheels on one side so one person can move it. metal grate mesh for a top. (light, good for gas and plasma cutting)
----Quote from discount steel------ A36 Hot Rolled Steel Equal Leg Angle 2" x 2" x 3/16" ( 240.000" ) $31.71 2 98 $63.42 Mechanical/Structural Steel Square Tube 3/4" x 3/4" x 12ga ( 240.000" ) $23.89 1 19 $23.89 Steel Raised Expanded Metal 3/4" x #13 ( 48.000" × 96.000" ) $38.40 1 26 $38.40
Anyone want to help me with this project? Timeline for build some time in Feb

I will contribute some money to the purchase of the material, and I'd like to be there when construction is underway to see how it goes together.

Cool thanks, I am looking to start it towards the end of Feb, maybe beginning of march. Pushing it out a bit to deal with all the stuff that need to happen for minne-faire. (plus moving my acetylene/oxy tanks in the winter is a real pain)

I'll pitch in too, if it means I can get some welding instruction!
