I am going to submit the 10x scale breadboard that Jude and I have been talking about doing (by Pete's excellent suggestion- I actually didn't think of that as a suitable project).

The mandated microcontroller will be used to provide in-built signal generation, power supply generation and control, and DMM capability.

Mitch emailed me to say that he's forwarded our submission to Element 14, so hopefully we'll be in business. Yay us!

I can see us fitting very well with the education aspect of the challenge. Additionally the timescale of two months is manageable.

The physical manifestation is in a large sense trivial. But since we can define classroom even that can be incorporated into the challenge.

If we get selected I can see how the required biweekly updates will be every bit as important as the ending coolness factor. Heck they are going to assign a handler. You know Element 14 is going to push the marketing aspect. TC Maker can bootstrap off that. It wouldn't be that hard to get some local media involvement. Again if selected it would probably be a good candidate for our first press release. Education - Hackerspace - community workshop - global challenge are all keywords that are at least intriguing.

Lots of ideas
Multiple versions 1 built by kids, 1 built from scavenged parts Etc.
