I've been mulling over the "armada of little motorized vehicles" idea some more and came up with "free range bumper cars". As a kid, I thought it'd be great if you could drive the bumper car right out of the amusement park & keep going. I just googled this & it seems I'm not the only one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_b3A9acHagWe could each design & decorate our cars according to our own tastes, skills & aesthetics & collaborate on fabrication techniques, motor controls, power source & other technical issues.
