Tripoli Minnesota Research Launch 5/24

Postby noise » Tue May 19, 2009 4:54 am

There's a research launch this weekend. The local AM/EX rocketry group, UMERG is planning on flying their large rocket, Big Yeller. It's 18' tall and will fly on an O motor.

Details here: http://tripolimn.org/

Alas, I have to miss it, I'll be in WI w/ family. But come up and check it out, should be impressive and there should be a number of other launches of experimental rockets.
Make it happen.

wow, it only went 1/2 the distance that is was scheduled to, that kind of stinks but it was fun to watch, would have been much better in person I think.
