member social contract

Postby orion » Fri Feb 21, 2014 10:58 pm

At the end of the day we are all volunteers and it is every members responsibility to help the group keep moving and not put all the work on a few dedicated individuals. There is a lot of work behind the scenes to keep the lights on and the shop safe and useful for all the membership. Here is my thoughts on what it takes to distribute the workload that any member can help with.

Participate in at least 2 quarterly cleanups a year
Help with 1 outreach event
Participate in Wednesday cleanup if there (would like to implement a cleanup on wednesday by all members from 830-845 of take all the trash/recycling out and tidy up all areas)
Report all incidents
Report low/out supplies
Report all broken/non operational equipment
Leave an area cleaner than you found it

Try and complete one chore task a visit in addition to cleaning a mess you made

Chore tasks include:
Clean kitchen sink and dishes
Clean kitchen counter
Vacuum front area
Shovel sidewalk
Empty Cig can
Broom Shop areas
Empty saw dust bin
Sweep classroom
Mop classroom
Organize tools left out
Empty trash/recycle cans in all areas
Clean bathroom
Check/load all paper towel dispenser
check/load tp rolls
Clean/organize your own storage area
Organize “up for grabs” area
