To of my favorite Kickstarter projects in the last year are both being offered by Inventables, but they are doing a batch funding method, much like Kickstarter, if they get x orders, they pull the trigger and make whatever it is.
The two I'm excited about are;
MakerSlide, (the basis of the OrdBot 3D printer, and an open source Laser cutter design)
ShapeOko CNC, (made with MakerSlide) router.
