Hello all, Vince here, I will be teaching a class about the safety and basic operation of the bridgeport vertical milling machine we have in our shop. Karin will be posting it on the calendar and blog as well as creating an eventbrite for it soon.

Here are the relevant details:

• The time will be saturday may 5th from 9am to 2pm.
• This will be a hands on class taught in a quasi-Socratic fashion.
• Safety is the foremost goal, getting familiar with the machine and how it works.
• Everyone will get a chance to drill, face and mill a block of material.
• Practice material will be included
• Class size is limited to 5 people and one person has already reserved a spot so there are 4 spots open.
• The price per student will be $50.

Thank you.

I think there is a welding class already on the books that day (5/5). Could be a little crowded.

Hmm, I got approval from the board in early march so I'm sure they must have taken that into consideration. Either way, there's plenty of room for two classes, especially since 90% of the class will be in front of the Bridgeport. Thanks for the heads up though.

Not yet, Karin or another officer has to put it up on the site.

Hello all, The class has been taught and I had a great time getting to know Pete, Michael, Steffin, Eric, and Matthew. I finally got all of your names correct :) . So before I offer another class i would like to hear your feedback, what was good, what was bad, was the time alotted too long or too short, what would you add or take away etc. etc.?

Thanks.
