TGIMBOEJ - Anybody done it?

Postby noise » Thu Mar 05, 2009 3:39 pm

The Great Internet Migratory Box Of Electronics Junk.

Sounds like a fun thing to do, I'm pretty new to the electronics thing so don't have a ton of stuff (although I have already collected a small heap). There are others in the group that might have more to contribute.
Make it happen.

Yeah, I got one of the original boxes, Quito. I mailed it off to some lady from Instructables.com, and no one blogged it after me. I should find out what happened to it.

It's a super fun idea, but limited because each box is lazy person away from failing.

I should have gotten into that. At one point I mailed a box of parts that was quite sizable off to a colleague who requested it through the Piclist.

It was mostly surface mount ICs, so not really appropriate to any but the most hardcore of hobbyists, but it might have been a worth migratory box on its own.
