Southeast Minneapolis Learning Carnival

Postby Orkraider » Sat Sep 10, 2011 9:46 am

Matt Carlson, from the Southeast Minneapolis Council on Learning, has invited us to participate in the Southeast Minneapolis Learning Carnival.

This event is taking place on Saturday, Semptember 24th, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, at Van Cleve Park.

I'm going to be attending, I'll be bringing some wood and hand tools to make a bow from scratch during the course of the event.

All of us are welcome to attend as spectators, or to present.

Here's a copy of the invite, with detailed info:

and here's the form to fill out if you want to present:

If you have questions for Matt, you can reach him at: [email protected]

You can also pm me, orkraider / Riley, if there's anything I can help with.

Fun!

This is happening in 4 days, anyone interested in going?

It'd be really nice if someone was willing to hang with the life size operation.

I'm going to be there making a bow with hand tools.

It's going to be fun, who's with me?

Sorry old bean, my daughter has a volleyball tournament that day from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (assuming her team does well). Cross your fingers for her. Thanks for volunteering to sit in the fishbowl on behalf of us all. Let's hope others are available to keep you out of trouble.

I have to do some garage cleanout at my house. I think we should attend though if we get enough volunteers.

If you are able to go, please post! This is only three hours. Three people might do it. Can we get three to volunteer and someone to send in the form?

The materials from King's Fair, incl. the Operation game, are all set to go.

The main thing that would be of use at this point is someone to hang with the operation game.

As stated previously, I'm going to have my hands full with making a bow from scratch.

Volunteer?

at this point, it can all be handled via me emailing Matt.

He was hoping we'd be there with operation, so this is a big win.

Waiting to here back on the particulars about a table and brochures and stuff.

It looks like we still need haulage for operation.

Anyone with a truck willing to do haulage from the space to the park and back?

We have enough folks for the lifting, if that's an issue.
