If the sculpture is approved, I will be providing transport for it, and ??? I just have a thing I have committed the day too, so drop off and pick up is about all I will be there for.

Awesomeness. I'm in communication with the organizers and I'll communicate if the sculpture is OK when I hear back.

I got over to the H.F. for a while. I printed and laminated a couple pictures to affix to the tri-fold board. We can probably use double-sided tape. I'd like to print a few more pictures for the board. If anyone has some good suggestions, let me know. I go to our Flickr pool and other locations to find 'em.

I've learned that our location will be Just west of the west tot lot facing the volleyball court and hill with the mini Trebuchet. The table can face the sidewalk and organizers will make space for the Operation game. Also, the park can supply us with an 8 foot table.

George can bring his metal sculpture and delivery at nine or soon after is fine.

I made some progress yesterday ont he table display. I printed out some more photos and laminated them. We're out of the 8.5x11 lamination sheets, but there are some for 4x6 and 5x7. I printed letter outlines for TWIN CITIES MAKER on red construction paper. The plan is to fill them in with black marker ink, then string them as rectangle cut outs on a string. I also printed 80 brochures. The display items are assembled in the board room. I'm heading over to H.F. early this morning, will probably arrive at 8-ish.

EDIT: What I'd like to have someone bring/find for this project: T-pins like the kind used in office cubicles, black ink markers.

Thanks to Everybody who turned out today, this gave us a good introduction to the area, and I have already seen three emails from neighborhood groups that mention the Operation Game, and our group.

With the introductions made today we should see more of the neighborhood at least stopping by to check us out.

I'd also like to thank all of you who showed up, it was a good time, and it was cool to have so many of us there.

At the risk of being chastised for thread hijacking, there's another even this Saturday, the Southeast Minneapolis Learning Carnival, taking place at Van Cleve park from 1 to 4 pm.

I'll be there, who's with me?

Here's the thread: http://www.tcmaker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1507
