Other than the forum here has anyone thought about other forms of on-line communication?

A Jabber server like hackerspaces?
IRC Channel?

I'm currently squatting at #tcmaker on irc.freenode.net if anyone is bored

It would essentially allow us to all be on a common IM network. For example [email protected] instead of passing around multitudes of MSN, AIM, and other network IM id's.

A couple of us are actually hanging out in the IRC channel that Pyrodogg created.

Check it out if you want something a little more interactive than the forums.

OK -- if you don't mind, then, I'll PM you for some pointers there. IRC seems to have a bunch more required fields than my other IM accounts.

UPDATE -- it's working now. Yay #tcmaker!

The important field is the second one, the IRC server info. See the circled area on the screenshot. Other fields are your preference. Then, once the client is active, you right-click on your IRC icon and choose "Join a channel" (which is #tcmaker, of course).
