Cm 7.1.1 to nightly

Hey all,
I'm running cm 7.1 RC 1 on my captivate(i897) and am wanting to try a new nightly. I've got titanium plus and rom manager premium. I'd like to upgrade whilst bringing my apps, launcher, and contacts. I can pilfer through x-dev's forums but am looking for a quick answer before I throw a day down the drain researching and configuring. Any quick ways of doin it?

I just recently made the same upgrade using ROM Manager, no data wipe required, no major issues at all on my HTC G2. I'd let ROM Manager make a nandroid backup first for sure though, just in case.

Worked like a charm, though the 2g/3g switch is still broken.

Is the Captivate a Samsung phone? Because it looks like a 2G/3G switch fix was recently committed and should be in the latest nightly.
