First "Official Meeting", when do you want to have it?

Yea, what do you guys want to do?

I remember reading somewhere about second Wednesday in March, because the first Wednesday didn't work if I remember correctly. What do you all say?

Sounds OK to me, esp. if that's one of the times we have the meeting room at Common Roots. That'll be just a few days before this event at the Science Museum, though; it'd be good to have some presence as the Twin Cities Maker Group* planned & prepared ahead of time. (more in this thread)

um... good point I think we should make a presence at the science museum as well. The best thing to do in my mind would be to ask for a booth and have some "made things" to display to attract people over to our table. We could have business cards or fliers to hand out.

I could bring some sound gadgets including my theremin which people love to play with.

I might twist my weekly schedule all out of kilter to make a 7PM Wednesday meeting once for our official grand inauguration or whatever. But in general that time is terrible for me. A weekend is much better. 5PM would be much better.

Where as weekday evenings are best for me.

Even later would be better (after "bed time" you know). Weekends are rarely mine.

Oh sure! I suspect we're meeting on Wednesday at 7 because it works best for the greatest number. I just thought I should weigh in.

Same here. Be the repetitive usage I've come to user "Twin Cities Maker" or TCMaker for short

I'm down for March 11th being our first 'official' meeting

Perhaps when we get down to business, our meeting schedule will morph into something like 2 "official" meetups per month, with one on a weekend and one in the Wed. PM slot we've been using. Then there could be additional "social" meetups.

I've also been using TCMaker a lot.
