Let's add field trips to our calender!

We've discussed this several times but haven't really done anything about it yet: field trips. There's no shortage of great places locally that would interest our makership!

Well I think I posted the first dreaded "we should do this" comment someplace so I should probably take ownership of this.

One problem we will run into at places like ABC Electronics is the limited hours. What do people think about lunchtime field trips? It doesn't have to always be that way, but it might be a fun thing to do.

So let's at least start a list, do me a favor and post details if you feel like it so I don't have to do the legwork.

Also keep in mind some of these will be free, some not.

Make it happen.

You can get free tickets to the Bakken if you use the local library. They last a week IIRC from when you "get them" and they're usually restocked on the weekend.

Good to know, Adam! Another suggestion for a group visit: Micro Center in St. Louis Park.

Definitely, I haven't been since 8th grade.

Oh that reminds me of another, Franconia Sculpture Park. I believe they also have an iron pour once or twice a year that would be fun to attend.

Edit: Ah, we just missed a pour on Valentine's day.
Make it happen.
