Saturday, June 15, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., Sun Ray Library
Meet local makers in a showcase of Minnesota creativity! Artists, crafters, technologists, and tinkerers will be sharing their creations at this all-ages gathering. Weather permitting, the fair will be outside. Expect hands-on activities, exciting demonstrations, and fun.
A bounce castle and climbing wall will be available for the kids, and Wok on Wheels food truck will be onsite.

Beatrix*JAR - Join this experimental sound art duo in hands-on audio play with their one-of-a-kind musical instruments! They'll be performing at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.
DIODES (Dioscurian Imperial Order of Dreamers, Engineers, and Scientists) - Members of this Steampunk group will be sharing their work and talking about the group.
Elpis Enterprises - Build your own bird feeder with kits, jigs, and tools.
FabLab "To Go"! - Create custom stickers or press-fit chairs using a common knife plotter!
Give & Take - Share your answers to two simple questions: What do you know? and What do you want to know? In the process, make new connections and spark new ideas.
GOFIRST Robotics - Build and drive robots and see a robot that can drive itself.
GoSolar! Workshop - Build your own solar powered gadget and experience how fun solar energy can be!
Lawn Chair Recital (TM) - Storyteller Brenda Bell Brown will engage young and old with her tales based on Black folk art traditions. Bring a lawn chair - you may want to stay a while. Settle into your chair, get comfy, and listen in. Don’t get too comfy, though - these stories are highly interactive!
Minneapolis Community & Technical College Zine Collection - Learn how to make a simple one-page zine with Minneapolis Community & Technical College librarians. Make a zine to take home, share with friends, and even donate back to our library to keep Minnesota's largest zine collection growing!
Structural Underpinnings - Are you curious how the elaborately shaped gowns of the past kept their form? Come view examples of historical gowns side by side with the structural undergarments needed to create those elaborate silhouettes.
Tech Petting Zoo - Stop inside the library between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to get your hands on all the newest library-related technology.
Ted Moore Music - Enjoy attackSUSTAINrelease, an art installation utilizing speakers, sound, water, and light.
The Choosatron - The Choosatron is an interactive fiction storytelling machine. As a visitor, you will get to play an assortment of choose-your-own-adventure style stories, and your unique journey is captured on a paper scroll you get to keep!
Traveling Art Emporium - Work with a professional artist on a community art project. You'll also get to make some art to take home with you!
University of Minnesota's College of Design - Make your own stickers with a CNC router!
Unvending Bookbindery - The Unvending Bookbindery is giving demonstrations of several different bookbinding techniques throughout the day. Follow along and make a book of your own.
