Don't hold your breath. The overpass will be done in the fall, but it will be well into 2010 (if not 2011) before the 35W northbound ramps are completed. And they haven't even posited an opening date for the ramps to/from southbound 35W yet.
I think as far as places to meet go, it might be one of the best ones available. Most municipal facilities are not open late into the evening (libraries, schools, etc) and most businesses either have no private meeting room or would charge for the use of one.
Another possibility could be spaces on one campus or another (I know we have some students in the group) but that may be limited by the lack of a university involvement besides having a couple of students in the group.
Studio Bricolage is of course semi-viable, if we plan it more carefully, but as previously mentioned, parking there is as bad as (or worse than) Common Roots (and I don't find Common Roots to be that bad- a spot is usually available on Aldrich), and access is pretty horrible.
Of course, the best choice is to find our own space...
