Hello and welcome, Wammie! I'm doing World Community Grid with my main PC (the one I'm currently sitting at) on Carleton College's team. I've got the latest 64-bit BOINC client running on two CPU cores and 2 nVidia GPGPUs.
At this moment, my work units are Fight AIDS At Home and Help Conquer Cancer.
I got involved on the the first public release day of WCG in 2004. I followed the forums for quite a while but now only check back occasionally. I took interest in the early discussions concerning programming of GPUs for grid processing, but last I knew, the technology was not yet available for general use on PCs and wouldn't be developed in the near future.
I just did some research and now see the GPU software provided at the folding@home site. Cool! I was hoping someday to employ my home computer graphics card for grid computing, but I only have a GeForce 4 class card, which is not supported.
