Kinda silly to put a faux hammered-metal finish on something that started out as hammered metal.
This is not to say I'm against it, mind. I just want it to look as much like the Spoon Bridge spoon as possible.

the hammered silver is a bit muddier on wood than looking hammered. comes out more like a galvanized kinda thing.

matte silver paint is hard to get a match to metal with.

i could use a hand with whittling down and finishing the hands.
all i need is someone with a long sharp knife (or foamcutter) and the balls (or vagina?) to use one.

and is the trigger mechanism done?

This is turning out to be quite a bit to get done in one day considering how much we've gotten accomplished on previous Saturdays, isn't it? How many people are going to be able to come? I will be there around noon-thirty - one. We might have anyone who can get back together on Sun... and maybe some additional time during the week.

I'm on that. When the veneer layup on the spoon is complete, that'll need significant shaping & sanding done. I'll want to borrow your sculptural eye at that point, if that's OK.

I have more time than money right now (gas, food, materials, aaargh :( ) but I can certainly do more 'pult work outside of Saturday/Sunday.

BTW, I'll be bringing the Guinness & Newcastle that we didn't get to share last night; and for those among us who've given up beer for Lent, I'll be bringing the French press again too.

Well, I can handle the iron-on stuff at my house, without interfering with Spoonapult construction time. I've got my Pi Pie design, of course, but I hope to have Nick's new design as an available option shortly, too. I should even be able to do combinations (e.g. small pie on sleeve, big 'pult on front, or whatever else) since these are all custom one-offs.

Now, bleach stencils, like JTBarclay's shirt last night, can be done much more expediently.
