Anybody have a status update from yesterday?

I still need to upload pictures.

I'm working on the (very few) pix from my camera now. [UPDATE: Flickr is currently barfing and throwing tantrums, dammit.]

There's some more veneer strips on the spoon now, and more foam sculpting is done; the whole frame is also downstairs rather than in the garage.

I need to fashion a pair of big, dense, slippery washers for the winch part, to fit between the frame and the oak dowels; about 3.5" in diameter and 1/2" thick. I have an idea about this, though, and it will involve a trip to the grocery store, of all places.

Simon kitten is recovering well from his lower-digestive issues after his trip to the vet; River still can't quite catch that chasey little red laser dot.

Sen Yai Sen Lek has remarkably tasty Thai food.

epoxy smells like kitten farts. hot wire cutters indoors smell like painful death. afghan pizza is amazing, as is sen lai sen lak. i may be out of beer. spoon will get some more layup done over the week... krista is pondering cherries and may bring bits to sew/cut on wed.

OK! After fighting with the Flickr issues for much of the morning (and they're still going on, sporadically) I've got 7 whole pix uploaded & ready.
