we've got a bucket of things to get rolling, but we've had a decent bit of interest in a variety of class offerings, and a number of folks have offered/threatened to teach classes, but we're at a bit of a slow point for class offerings right now. as we're starting this membership push we need to have some things to advertise, and it'd be great if we actually had some classes up and pondering rolling.

karinf is the point person for the calendar and events planning, and if you're interested in teaching or co-teaching a class (if you've got a partner or not) please email events@tcmaker.org. it'll take a bit of coordination to make sure we're not say scheduling 3 courses that need the classroom or the shop or whatever each night, so please be patient as things get scheduled.

we're also hoping to have up in short order on the classes and calendar page an "i want to take...." info form and a "my event is..." form so that inquiries all end up in a central location and we have all of the pieces to publicize them appropriately.

Not as cool as pasties (or the kind with rutabega, either, for that matter) I know, but I have been trying to find something interesting to do with ChucK, Processing, OSC, and iPhone/iPad/Android OSC controller apps lately. I haven't come up with anything compelling yet, so perhaps I should teach a class and try to inspire others.

Sewing for guys...
Sewing machines are neat and really a great tool to know for any maker. But guys, in general have this phobia of sewing. Thinking about making a manly steampunk coat, or flex-sensor activated bicycle jacket with turn signals? Well learning to run a sewing machine and to understand a pattern, will get you started.

Leather Working/Tooling
Basic leather working and wet forming. Bring in your ideas and lets get working. Projects ranging from LARP armor to a smartphone case. Go over materials leather types and specialized tools. Then start on projects.

Silicone Mold Making
Making copies of an unique part is a skill any maker should have under their belt. Learn to make molds with silicone and fabricate parts in resin.
