So, let's find a good time to get the model airplane stuff cleaned up downstairs. I will then bring a bunch of cardboard and throw it down. Someone can bring sterile gauze. We're getting too tense, how about we just let people fight it out so we can get it out of our systems and move on. I suggest a non-Wed would probably be best, how does Feb 15 sound?

Given the geek nature of those involved, I think inflatable sumo suits, or giant foam swords should be issued to participants, less messy / hazardous to clean up too : ) Pete

Various web sites of members of the Society for Creative Anachronism have detailed plans for building non lethal melee weapons using wood, foam, and duct tape.
For myself, I've always liked pugil sticks. It's almost as fun as using a rifle with a bayonet on the end, but less messy.

Oh come on. No weapons, no gimmicks, just two people ineffectively flailing their limbs at each other.

Are we only allowed to flail with our own limbs?

Well, if we allow limb amputation, it will be awful difficult to maintain membership.
