Hot Wire tabletop foam & plastic Cutter

Postby Learner » Sun Nov 03, 2013 8:36 am

Just so people are aware if they might have a need for a project, I now have a Proxxon Thermocut tabletop hot wire cutter for use on foam & thermal plastics. I'm using it for cutting the anti-static IC tubing mostly, but can bring it in when people need for any projects. ... product=85 ... product=92

I do realize most people might prefer to use a handheld cutter. This type of cutter is for when you need more precision, straighter lines. Think of it like a jigsaw except using the hot wire as a very thin blade.

If you have a need to use it, let me know and I'll make arrangements to bring it in to the Hack Factory.

This is awesome! It appears there may be a foam project in my future. Perhaps a hovercraft?
Instructables is my crack.

You can't have Success without the suck.

Too many irons, not enough fire.
