Thanks to Blair I've now got an oil furnace ignition transformer, and a request to make it into a Jacobs ladder. So: Anyone have some smallish chunks of Delrin or plexi? I need something that'll withstand 10KV and not catch fire.

What size exactly are you looking for? I may be able to scrounge some up at work.

Wouldn't need to be very big -- 3-5in at most, I think. I'll know more after this weekend, I'm going to try out a few different electrodes to get dimensions.
